Follow the steps below to utilize AI in PBU.
Step 1:
Make sure AI is added to the specific license for your booth. This can be done in Event Manager, under your PPU Account. The AI Add-On is $299, regardless of PBU license length.
Note: You can try AI free of charge. In the AI tab, select 'auto-apply or 'user-select' and choose you filter(s). When you receive a prompt to add AI to your license, select 'No'. The AI will process but have watermarks on the photos.
Step 2:
Create an Event with AI enabled:
Step 3:
In the Helper Tool, load your event and enable 'Start AI Uploading' (the button will turn red):
Note: If the AI Uploading button does not appear after ensuring AI is enabled in your event, ensure that you are on the latest version of the Helper Tool, which can be downloaded here.
Step 4:
In PBU, If you have added AI to your license you will need to update your license before AI options are available without watermarks. In the Preferences tab, select 'Enter New License' on the right side:
Then select 'Update License', which will activate AI functionality. You may view our complete guide HERE.
Step 5:
In the AI tab, select your filter(s):
Note: If the AI tab is not visible, please enable it in the 'Misc' tab of PBU. If you find that there are no filters in your AI tab, please follow our guide for Restoring Generic Settings
After the photo captures, you will see the Original Photo appear. The AI image will not appear right away, but if you have 'Allow Share while Processing' enabled (per the image above) guests will receive the AI image once it has finished rendering, along with their Original Photo.
All AI images will appear in either The Gallery Bar or Kiosk App by default. Once the AI renderings appear in either of these locations they can be shared by guests as well. We especially recommend the Kiosk App when utilizing AI, given the processing times.
Things to know:
Since the AI photo takes time to process, only the Original Photo will be shown on the PBU share screen. If you have "Share while processing" enabled, the AI image(s) will share once processed, even though they are not previewed on the PBU screen.
For Face-Swap: These are the suggested target image dimensions:
Square: 1024x1024
Portrait: 1800x1200
Landscape: 1200x1800
